Tsunami

A tsunami is a sequence of huge ocean waves created by an underwater interruption. Causes include earthquakes, landslides, volcanic eruptions, or meteorites chunks of rock from space that hit the surface of Earth. A tsunami can move hundreds of miles for every hour in the open ocean. It can smash into land by means of waves as high as 100 foot or more and cause disturbing floods. Drowning is the most general cause of death related to a tsunami.

Although there are no guarantees of security during a tsunami, you can take events to protect yourself. You should have a disaster map. Being prepared can help decrease fear, anxiety and losses.
